North Partners with Courts to Provide Significant Auditing Task for Students

Starting this spring North Seattle College offers a great opportunity to students enrolled in the Accounting Fraud program—do hands-on work with real auditing cases potentially involving fraud and offer a valuable community service at the same time. The project is a partnership with the Office of Guardianship and Elder Services in coordination with the Certified Professional Guardianship Board and the Forensic Accounting class at North.

LGBTQIA+ Lunch Bunch is back, starting Friday, April 28, at noon in CC1442. All LGBTQIA+ identified employees and allies are welcome. Eat, discuss LGBTQIA+ topics and help create an inclusive environment. Additional spring dates: May 12 and 26 and June 9.

Latina Symposium May 13

North Seattle College hosts the fourth Annual Latina Symposium May 13, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on campus. The focus of this year's symposium is "Education: The Art of Growing." The symposium offers Latinas the opportunity to network, help others and get inspired to proceed to their next step in life. North Parent Education Faculty Analia Bertoni is the 2017 recipient of the Latina Symposium Manos Unidas’ award, to be presented at the event

Student Spotlight: Sara Michelassi

Did you know 46% of North Seattle College students reported facing some form of food insecurity? That number, discovered through a student survey, pushed Student Body President Sara Michelassi to coordinate an initiative to host a food pantry on North’s campus. And that’s just one piece of her day job.
