Established in 1970, North Seattle College is an accredited two-year public institution known for the breadth of its educational choices, its student support services and the excellence of its instruction. North’s programs prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university and/or enter the workforce, as well as serving those needing precollege work. North also offers four Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. The college serves approximately 15,000 students annually.

North’s programs prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university and/or enter the workforce, as well as serving those needing precollege work. North also offers four Bachelor of Applied Science degrees. The college serves approximately 6,000 students per quarter— 61 percent female, 33 percent people of color with a median age of 30 years.  A majority of those enrolled attend daytime classes and are part-time students. In Fall Quarter 2017, 1,823 students received financial aid or scholarship funds totaling $3.62 million. More than 300 faculty members teach at the college.
