NSC Students Earn National High-Power Rocketry Certification

Congratulations to North Seattle College students Kelly Souza, Carolina Gutierrez, Radiya Robele and Ian Good for earning Level 1 High-Power Rocketry Certification from the National Association of Rocketry (NAR). They each built, launched and successfully recovered their high-power rocket at an event sponsored by the Yakama Nation and the Yakima Valley Rocketry Club in White Swan, Wash., on April 19. The certification allows them to launch a high-power rocket at any NAR event in the country, and already they are making plans to earn Level 2 certification.

All the students are members of the NSC Rocketry Club; Souza is incoming president. The club is open to all NSC community members and meets on Wednesdays and Sundays.
