Ten North Seattle College faculty members receive tenure

Ten North Seattle College faculty members were awarded tenure and recognized by the Seattle Colleges District Board of Trustees during a special reception on Thursday, April 12, 2018.

“The ten faculty members who received tenure this year are an exemplary group of committed employees. Their significant expertise, dedication to student success, engagement in our campus community, and their creativity and innovation, make them highly regarded by their colleagues and students," said Kristen Jones, NSC Vice President for Instruction.

The newly tenured members are Elinor Appel, English as a Second Language instructor in the Basic and Transitional Studies division; Cristóbal Borges, History faculty member in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Bob Bunge, Business Information Technology faculty member in the Workforce Instruction division; Samantha Dolan, Early Childhood Education faculty member in the Workforce Instruction division; Jim Eaton, ESL faculty member in the Basic and Transitional Studies division;  Scott Ku, Communications faculty member in the Humanities division; David McConnon, Watch Technology faculty member in the Workforce Instruction division; Francie Mooney, Medical Assisting faculty member in the Workforce Instruction division; Samuel Wilson, Math faculty member in the Math and Science division and Ana Villar, Library faculty member in the Library.

"North Seattle College will benefit greatly from their involvement in meeting our goals of advancing student success and excelling in teaching and learning," said Jones.
