Recent updates to Chrome may cause issues with Canvas courses

If you experiencing issues viewing your Canvas course materials and/or videos please click "What Browsers does Canvas Support" There have been recent Browser updates and some users have found that Canvas does not work as expected. (04/21/2014)

If you have any questions or concerns about your e-Learning classes for Winter quarter our office will be open during the break except Dec 24/25 and Jan 1.  A reminder, if your course uses Canvas or ANGEL your account will not be created until the Friday before the quarter begins on January 6, 2014

Canvas an exciting new Learning Management System “LMS”

North e-Learning is piloting a new LMS canvas.  This is courseware similar to ANGEL.  It is more student centric  giving students many avenues to access their courses.  You select how you want to be notified through personal email or your social media sites.

Spring is coming – e-Learning courses will fit into your busy schedule

North e-Learning is offering over a hundred online classes for Spring 2013.  These classes are filling fast so be sure to register soon.  If you would like the option of taking a hybrid class which offers face to face time with the online experience we are introducing the “North Blend”.  You can get a feel for what online learning is all about while still having an on campus experience.  North Blend cuts down on the commute to campus and lets you fit your classwork into your busy schedule.

Canvas Spring Pilot Session #4

This session builds upon the Canvas Session #3. Topics include using rubrics with learning outcomes, finalizing a syllabus and copying content into a quarter-specific shell.

Seattle District Faculty Learning Community: Mastering Canvas

Meets monthly starting Tuesday, January 15th, 2:00pm - 3:30pm, TLC Additional meetings - Feb. 15th and March 15th First session facilitated by Carey Schroyer, District Faculty Development Coordinator

The schedule of topics for this learning community will be determined by individual faculty members. Each monthly meeting will include a session titled Canvas QUICKTIPS in which a specific procedure will be discussed and demonstrated in order to help faculty master specific Canvas features. The meetings will also focus on best practices for online learning.

NeLSC, North's e-Learning Support Center welcomes you to Fall Quarter 2012

Welcome to all our New and Returning e-Learners.

To start your course please go to http://www.virtualcollege.org/ Click on "Fall 2012 Registered Students"  and find your course in the listing.  If your course uses ANGEL LMS your account will be available on Friday, September 21.  If your course does not show up wait until Monday and login again.  Instructors may be doing updates and will make the course available when they are finished.
