North Seattle College Rocketry Club Inaugural Flights April 25!

Mansfield, Wa. 

The North Seattle College Rocketry Club, in conjunction with the Washington NASA Space Grant, will launch two rockets sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at a field near Mansfield, Washington, under the auspices of the National Association of Rocketry. At this event, there will be more than 60 rockets launched of different types, made by clubs like ours at different schools and by individuals with a passion for rocketry – the event is free and open to the public. Some safety rules will be explained at the event.

Can’t or don’t want to make the four-hour drive? We’ll have a video of the launch at the Making Learning Visible symposium Wednesday, June 3; come to the Astronomy 102/Rocketry Club display.

May is Bike Month! Free Bike Commuting Workshop April 28

May is Bike Month!The weather's getting nice, which means Bike Month is almost here!

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is partnering with Cascade Bicycle Club to provide a series of FREE bicycle education workshops for commuters who want to ride to North! 

Join us for a one hour presentation filled with helpful tips for new bike commuters. 

Topics will include:

  • Helmet fit
  • Gear
  • Route planning
  • Lane positioning
  • Safety tips
  • Navigating infrastructure
  • Fix a flat

Bring a lunch, learn new things and get ready to ride!
