Lunar New Year Celebration Feb. 8

Monday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m - 2 p.m. in Baxter Events Center.

There will be traditional food and snacks from various Asian countries, food demos, music and traditional calligraphy. AND we have booked the Taiko Drumming Group! They will be do a 15-20 minute performance at 12:30 p.m. and also provide some instruction and information about Taiko Drumming.

Opportunity for Work Study in Basic and Transitional Studies

Come work in a fun environment where there is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in general office work including, but not limited to, providing information to students and the general public; answering the phone; typing, filing, copying, alphabetizing, data entry, etc.; and assisting faculty with supplies, forms and other requests. Sometimes, at the end of each quarter, there are opportunities to sample foods from other cultures.

Veterans Lounge Now Open!

NSC Veterans Lounge is now open at CC1354, across from Baxter Center. Hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 pm./evenings through campus security.

Come relax and study. Make use of the four computer work stations in a dedicated study area. Use the refrigerator (day use only), microwave, and TV with access to local channels, plus a DVD player.

Our Veteran Navigator is also based in the lounge—a veteran/student who is a resource for information and referrals.

Student Plots Available in the P-patch

NSC Sustainability Office has student plots available in the Licton Springs P-patch right here on campus. Get started by filling out an application at
