Centered around two sets of identical twins mistakenly separated at birth, William Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors is known for its farcical comedy. Now North Seattle Community College’s Stage One Theater takes this and adds another twist – setting the play in New Orleans during the American Civil War.
This lavish production presents the biggest, most elaborate set ever built at North. With more rhyming couplets than any other play by Shakespeare, Stage One’s production of The Comedy of Errors offers ear candy, eye candy and more.
The Comedy of Errors runs Fridays and Saturdays, May 27 and 28 and June 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. In addition, matinees will be held on Sundays, June 5 and 12 at 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 1 at noon. All performances are pay-what-you-can and reservations are not needed. Stage One Theater is located in the northwest section of the Library Building, 1st floor, on the NSCC campus.
