The 2-week Spring Wheel Options campaign (March 13-26, 2011) was a hit. More than 40 North Seattle Community College employees participated by going online to report their alternatives to drive-alone commuting. Together they eliminated nearly 3,000 miles from being driven.
This prevented 2,425 pounds of carbon dioxide, 9 pounds of hydrocarbons, and 82 pounds of carbon monoxide from being emitted into the environment! What an impact you make… even by occasionally biking, riding the bus, carpooling, walking or working from home – a little bit goes a long way and helps everyone.
