Library Salon: Caroline Pew, NSC Science Faculty on Palynology and the Paleoclimate, May 15

Library Salon, Monday, May 15, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Presenter: Caroline Pew, North Science Division Faculty,  Palynology Applications in Paleoclimate Reconstructions

In this salon we will discuss what fossil pollen tells us about past events of climate change and how palynology can be used in concert with other techniques to reconstruct past climate. If time permits we will also discuss how climate reconstructions inform modern climate models, which in turn help us project what we can expect for the future of our climate.
