Earth Day Symposium April 22 11am-6pm

Poster - Earth Day Symposium

North Seattle College will host its first Earth Day Symposium: Solutions for a Sustainable Future on Wednesday April 22 from 11am-6pm. This symposium will promote campus and community sustainability with the goal of establishing collaborations between the region's higher education institutions, non-profit organizations, and the City of Seattle to advance sustainability education in the Puget Sound Bio Region.

The upcoming Northgate urban development project is a chance for North Seattle College to begin co-creating a shared vision for a sustainable community that values its natural assets while supporting smart growth and development. This is an opportunity for the campus and community to come together and begin a dialogue about livable communities and work toward designating the Northgate/Licton/Haller community as a Eco-District.

Learn about solutions for shaping a more sustainable future and share your ideas with other professionals, educators, students and changemakers for transforming our community and our city into a sustainable, shared vision of ecological education, economic vitality and social equity.
