Grand Opening of Multicultural and Equity Center on Feb. 5

On Monday, Feb. 5, North Seattle College employees and students celebrated the opening of the first Student Multicultural and Equity Center on campus.

The center, located on the first floor of College Center Building and funded in collaboration with the President’s office and the Department of Student Services, will combine the services of Multicultural Programs, the Gender Equity Center and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to help retain, support and graduate students of all backgrounds. The center will also serve as a meeting place for students and staff to work on institutional diversity initiatives. 

The grand opening is from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in College Center 1452A.

12:30 – 12:45      Welcome            

12:45 – 1:00        Student Representatives

1:00- 1:10             Dr. Warren Brown/College Representative

1:00 – 1:05           Ribbon Cutting

1:10 – 2:30           Celebration of the space
