Dear Campus,

Facilities crew are working as quickly as possible to restore water to buildings in the north end of campus, specifically in the Library, Instruction Building Child Care Center, Arts & Sciences Building and Wellness Center.

Vagina Monologues to be Performed Feb. 22-23

North Seattle College Student Leadership, in partnership with the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences division, is putting on this year’s benefit performance of Eve Ensler’s iconic play the Vagina Monologues on Feb. 22-23.

The play is presented internationally each year. This year’s proceeds of the campus performance will go directly to API Chaya, a local non-profit working to end violence against woman. Tickets are $5 suggested donation at the door.  

Performances will be held on campus in the Stage One Theater:

North Seattle College’s (NSC) Early Childhood Education (ECE) Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program recently held a Preschool Director’s Retreat and Luncheon on Dec. 1 at NSC.

The interactive forum was primarily focused on leadership staff, from preschools where students currently enrolled in the ECE BAS program work.

No Day or Evening Classes on Feb. 8

North Seattle College will not hold day or evening classes on Thursday, Feb. 8, as all college faculty will be participating in a faculty development day. 

Additionally, Student Development Services, including Admissions, Registration, Advising, Financial Aid and Testing Offices, will be closed from 8 a.m. to noon on Feb. 8. The offices will be open from 12 to 4:30 p.m.

NSC Students Win IB Case Study Competition at UW

NSC IB BAS students: Frances Sanchez, Mary Harris and Mary Smith

A team of North Seattle College (NSC) International Business (IB) Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) junior students won the 2017 IB Case Study Competition on Nov. 4, in the Northwest regional track of the Russell Investments International Case Competition for the third consecutive year.  

Mary Harris, Frances Sanchez and Mary Smith took on a MBA level International Marketing case from the Harvard Business School, on how Washington wines can expand in the growing China wine market.

Pedestrian Bridge Presentation on Nov 28, 9-10:30 a.m.

The community is invited to attend a presentation on the Northgate Pedestrian Bridge Project next Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The presentation will be held in the North Star Dining Room on the North Seattle College campus and members of SDOT's project team will be on hand to discuss the bridge project and answer questions.
